I have owned a 552 for 30 years and it is most reliable semi-auto 22. caliber gun I have shot. I have shot many 22''s including the Ruger 10/22, and the Remington 552 reigns superior in my book. The 552 will deplete a full 15 rnd tube faster than a Ruger 22/10 can burn through a]10 rnd[ magazine. The rate of fire exceeds all others. It''s easily disassembled for cleaning. Like I have mentioned, I have owned it for 30 years and still use it today at local ranges.
