Serves its function, and that is to take away the hassle of trying to use the factory gas tube with an updated stock. Looks factory (as in matches up with the original barrel)and is very easy to install.

Great replacement, easy to install. This gas tube slipped right into place on my Norinco SKS. After a little filing it was shooting like new.

I found the gas tube (with minor filing)as directed in the instructions, fit smoothly and looks great with the black Mont-Carlo or folding stocks.
