TAPCO® SKS Extended Magazine Catch makes for positive magazine release even with gloves, for quick and easy magazine removal. Constructed of lightweight polymer and works with fixed or detachable magazines. Fits Chinese, Russian, or Romanian rifle magazines, but will not work on AK converted SKS rifles or Yugoslavian model.

Tapco could have had a five star review if only it had considered the ergonomics of this release. After fitting this to my Yugo SKS I found that the sharp edges of the release were very uncomfortable in use. On the bright side, 3 minutes with a dremel tool and the judicious use of sand paper is all it took to round off the corners and now it is a pleasure to use this release.

After a slight ordering glitch, got the part and installed so quick and easy I was suprised! This really inproves the function of my weapon and would reccommend this to others!
